Yes. A student pilot, to be eligible to solo, must obtain a medical certificate by undergoing a physical from an FAA-designated physician who is certified to issue them. These physicians are called Aviation Medical Examiners (AMEs), and they are typically family or occupational health doctors who practice at area clinics and hospitals. If you are in good health, obtaining a medical is not difficult, and it’s fine if you wear glasses or contacts. Please discuss any significant health history or current medical conditions with your instructor to determine if there will be an issue obtaining a medical. A list of local AMEs will be provided by your flight instructor upon request.

Yes. While you can take flying lessons at any age, a student pilot must be 16 to solo and 17 to be eligible for the Private Pilot certificate. Otherwise, there are no other age requirements.

You will be guided through a Cirrus Transition course, once completed you may rent the same model that you completed the transition course in. To rent a different model Cirrus you will need to complete differences course(s).

Yes, after earning you private certificate or completing a transition course, you may rent the same model Cirrus without additional instruction. To rent a different model Cirrus you will need to complete differences course(s). The time required will vary by pilot and type of aircraft. The new model may require a minimum total time as well. Say going from an SR20 to a SR22T.

You will be introduced to the Cirrus Private Pilot Course and a review of what to expect on the flight. This flight will be guided by your instructor with you operating the controls for most of the flight. The goal is for you to be engaged and build your confidence and enjoyment of flying. Your instructor will demonstrate the landing with you following along on the controls.

We use Cirrus SR20 G7 aircraft for training They have four seats, advanced avionics and are very easy to fly
